Question 1

How do I open my hotel workspace?

Accepted Answer

Sign in with Owner sign in, then open Workspace and choose a hotel from Your property portfolio. Select the property to open its editor. If this is your first hotel, use the Start with one property form to create the hotel record before adding rooms and offers.

Question 2

Where do I add or update hotel profile details?

Accepted Answer

In the property editor, use Hotel basics for the property name and description, address and location, phone and email, official website, check-in and check-out times, arrival instructions, total room count, star rating, and pet policy. Add hotel-level amenities in the Hotel amenities section and save with Save hotel basics. Manage the hotel gallery separately in Property photos, where you can add photos and choose the primary photo used for directory cards and the hotel profile.

Question 3

Where do room details, photos, and amenities belong?

Accepted Answer

In Room types, add or edit each room type’s name, description, occupancy, bed configuration, size, and maximum guest capacity. Within that room type, use its room amenity editor for features that apply only to that room and its room photo manager for that room’s photos. Keep property-wide photos and amenities in their hotel-level sections so they are not mistaken for details of one room.

Question 4

How do I create an offer for a room?

Accepted Answer

Save a room type first, then add an item in Room offers. In the offer editor, choose that hotel’s room type in the Room type field; every offer must be associated with a room type belonging to the same hotel. Add the offer title, summary and description, terms, base rate per room per night and its ISO currency code, included perks, validity, cancellation terms, and any stay limits. The offer image picker uses photos saved for the linked room, so add room photos in that room type first.

Question 5

Does saving profile or offer changes publish them?

Accepted Answer

Saving does not switch a private hotel page or private offer to published, and it does not change either publication status. Saved content on a private profile or offer stays private until you publish it. If the hotel or offer is already published, saving edits updates its content while it remains published; use the separate Withdraw control to make it private. Hotel and offer publication are separate controls.

Question 6

How do I publish or withdraw my hotel profile?

Accepted Answer

In Hotel basics, use Publish hotel page to make the saved profile public. Publishing requires an active, verified hotel subscription. Use Withdraw hotel page and confirm to make the profile private and its public hotel page unavailable. Profile readiness is informational: the checklist does not block saving or change the publish and withdraw rules.

Question 7

What must be ready before I can publish an offer?

Accepted Answer

The hotel must already be published and have an active, verified hotel subscription. The offer must be linked to a room type belonging to that hotel and have a saved base nightly rate and currency. These are publication requirements; a complete profile or offer checklist is not. Save the offer, then use its Publish offer control. Use Withdraw offer to remove that offer from public view while leaving the hotel page published.

Question 8

Do the profile and offer readiness checklists control publication?

Accepted Answer

No. Both checklists are advisory and help you review guest-facing details such as descriptions, contact information, photos, room details, amenities, offer terms, and rates. They do not block saving or change the publication rules. The hotel and offer controls enforce their own requirements, including the subscription, hotel publication, room association, and saved base rate and currency checks.

Question 9

What does Cloudbeds connection verification confirm?

Accepted Answer

In Cloudbeds connection settings, save the hotel-supplied credential and the Cloudbeds property ID for this hotel, then choose Test connection. A verified result means the saved credential could access Cloudbeds hotel details and the returned property ID matched the ID saved for this hotel. Saving settings alone is not verification. A failed test or a Not tested status is also unverified. If you change the saved connection details, save and test them again.

Question 10

Does Cloudbeds verification enable live availability, reservations, or guest checkout?

Accepted Answer

No. Verification alone does not show live availability to guests, create reservations, or enable guest checkout or payment. Public hotel pages and offers use the information you save and publish in Roomwicket; the saved base rate is informational and is not a live availability result. The verified connection is a prerequisite for separate operator tools, not a public booking flow.

Question 11

Can I preview Cloudbeds availability and rates for a stay?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the property editor’s Cloudbeds connection settings, first save and test the current connection. Then use the separate Preview live availability and rates tool to enter dates, rooms, and guest counts. It makes an operator-only, read-only lookup using the saved connection. The preview does not publish availability to guests, create or confirm a reservation, guarantee a room or rate, take payment, or replace the published indicative offer rate.

Question 12

What is required to submit an accepted stay request to Cloudbeds?

Accepted Answer

An operator can submit only an accepted stay request. In the property editor’s Reservation setup, map the Roomwicket offer to the exact Cloudbeds room type ID and rate ID; the system checks those IDs against the saved Cloudbeds property before submission. The saved credential must also have Cloudbeds reservation-write access. A successful connection test by itself does not prove that write access or a valid room-and-rate mapping is available. This is an operator-submitted reservation flow, not guest checkout.
